A TRUE CATHOLIC IS A SACRIFYING MAN
What is Lent time?
Mary was alone in Her sufferings during 40 days while Jesus was praying and making sacrifices in the desert... and you where are you?
For the Catholic, Lent time is a special time of reparation, sacrifice and penance. The Spirit of Sacrifice must inspire the privation of food or any other kinds of privation.
What is Sacrifice?
A Sacrifice is a physical pain or a spiritual suffering OFFER to God for different intentions. When one forget to offer this suffering, it is not a sacrifice but only a suffering. That is why CATHOLIC must keep OFFERING to God all their trials in order to repair for the sins of every single soul.
What kind of Sacrifice shall I do during Lent Time?
I can do physical sacrifice: no junk food, no appetizer, no candy, no chocolate...
I can also: minimize gadget and computer games.
I can use my FB only for Mary’s Mission News and close all my other accounts
I can give up to one of my addiction: TV, Magazine...
But the most important is the Sacrifice of THE WILL!
To deny one’s will is the hardest but greatest sacrifice which can be offer to God for God is WILL.
What difference do exist between Lent Time and Ramadan?
Ramadan is a simple privation of food during the day which exclude the night. There is no offering to God and no expiation for sins.
What can make the sacrifice easier to do?
The meditation of the Passion of Our Lord is a great help if you consider what a wonderful love God shown us by giving Jesus Christ!
The prayer of the Rosary: The Blessed Virgin was always following Jesus during the way of the Cross. Allow Her to follow and help you through the humble prayer of the Rosary.
The Holy Communion and confession: Go to confession every two weeks and receive the Holy Communion on the tongue and tell Our Lord Jesus Christ your desire to repair all your sins.
